丁老师手里拿着一棵绿油油的小树苗，我拿着铲子，迈着欢快的脚步来到了剡山小学的鼎龙花园里。我迫不及待地在空地上挖出一个圆圆的小坑，这就是小树苗的新家了。小树苗小心翼翼地移入树坑里，好像怕一不小心把小树苗碰伤。丁老师用双手轻轻扶着它，我连忙用铲子为小树苗培上柔软的细土，再用脚轻轻地踩实了。丁老师给它浇了许多的水，怕它不够喝似的。我好像听到了小树苗在美滋滋喝着水的声音，你听滋滋滋滋滋滋……我和丁老师给小树起了一个有趣的名字“希望树”希望它和我们一起茁壮成长。

虽然植树节已经过去了，但是我们种树的兴致依然不减。
上午学完书法后，我就和爸爸妈妈来到了涌泉防洪坝旁边。由于我们来的比较晚，已经有许多人在植树了，上面还挂着一些小牌子，牌子上写的树名真是千奇百怪：有“晚樱”，“金枝”，“冰激凌”…我一直以为种树很简单，挖一个坑，把树苗放进去，就完事了。可想归想，现实和幻想是完全不一样的。
我听到有人说：“哇，连坑都不挖好，还让我们用铲子？”我连忙跑到我想种树的一块地方，先用铲子挖出一个洞来，爸爸和妈妈也来帮忙。好笑的是，我只以为这是在玩，一不留神，就把一勺刚铲出来的泥土弄到了我的裤脚上。我连忙弄掉，但还是有一些褐色的东西“粘”在我裤子上。
几分钏后，一个差不多20厘米的小坑挖好了。我急忙去选树苗，选了一棵不怎么大，又有一些叶子的小树苗。由于我还是头一次种树，不知道该如何下手。幸亏妈妈来了，她一手提着一个小桶，一手拿着铲子。只见她把水桶放在一边，然后把树苗放进坑里，说：“把树苗扶稳，我要填坑了。”我扶住小树苗，让它不往任何一边倒。
我双觉得这样太轻松了，也拿起小铲子填坑。虽然速度很慢，但也是帮了忙。终于种上了一棵小树苗，我提起水桶，把水倒入树的根部，一棵小树就种好了。
我在心里默念：“小树啊小树，快快长大吧！”

The origin of such celebrations dates back to antiquity and is in the dawn of religious feeling and awe for what trees represented.
